Files are split into 2 types:
Information for design - any useful information to aid the engineering team with the design (ie survey DWG's, CCTV, Geotech reports).
Drawing Release Documents - custom documents required to be packaged up with the drawing release (ie non-Allsite.ai generated documents).
Access by clicking the "File Management" tab in the tool bar after selecting your project.
Information for design
Drag in documents here (or click upload) and they will be uploaded to the Allsite.ai database. Give the document group a description and select the organization the documents come from. If you want you can upload more documents together as part of the group.
Only certain file types are supported (video, pdf, image, engineering cad files, zip files).
If your file format is not supported you can add to a zip file and upload that.
Drawing Release Documents
Add any non Allsite.ai drawings and internal documents here. You can then select and include the documents in subsequent drawing releases.
An example of a file that could be included here is a standard detail for a manhole from a manufacturer.
Specify whether the document is an internal document (ie a cover letter for application) or a design drawing (ie a standard detail), the company the document comes from.
if the document comes from your organization you will need to provide a parent layout to group the drawing into plus it's drawing range so it can be merged in correctly to the parent group along with any automatically generated Allsite.ai drawings.
Once all details are completed correctly can click the upload button. Once upload is complete you will be given a notification.
Changing revision of a document
Sometimes a revision needs to change for a document. Click the "Up-rev" button and upload your new file, changing the revision.
