Installation

To install the extension, sign in to Allsite.ai, open the profile dropdown in the top-right profile dropdown in the Allsite.ai web app, and select “Install Civil 3D Extension.” You must have a valid Allsite.ai account to download the MSI installer.

Next, read and accept the terms and conditions.

After selecting the acceptance checkbox, click Install. When that completes, click Finish to close the setup wizard. The installer adds the Allsite.ai Civil 3D Extension to your Windows user account. The extension will be available the next time you open Civil 3D.

The next time you open Civil 3D, you will see a notification confirming the extension loaded successfully, and the Allsite.ai toolbar will be available.

When Civil 3D opens, Allsite.ai checks for newer versions. If a new major version is available, you will be prompted to install it. We recommend staying on the latest version.

Checking Installed Version

You can check the version installed by clicking App Manager in the Civil 3D toolbar.

Alternatively, check the installed Windows programs list: Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.

DWGs that have been initialized with Allsite.ai can still be opened by users who do not have the Allsite.ai Civil 3D Extension installed. Grading parameters can also be edited because Allsite.ai stores data using native Civil 3D features, such as extended data.

Updating

Patch updates are applied automatically. If an automatic update cannot run, for example because Civil 3D is open, a prompt appears the next time Civil 3D opens. You can dismiss the prompt to snooze it for 3 days.

Uninstalling

To uninstall, open Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps, search for “Allsite,” click the three-dot menu next to “Allsite.ai Civil 3D Extension,” and select Uninstall. This removes the extension, added line styles, and related registry items.

Troubleshooting

If you are having installation issues, restart your machine and make sure other programs, such as Bluebeam, are closed.
