Before Running Level AI Results, make sure Civil3D intersections Side Road Profile Grade Rules are disabled. See below how to disable them.
This setting is important because Civil 3D can automatically adjust side road profiles when intersections are created or updated. Level AI depends on stable vertical relationships between road profiles, offset profiles, curb returns, and corridors. If Civil 3D changes the side road profile automatically, these relationships can become incorrect or corrupted.
Recommended workflow
Initialize the project in Allsite
Allow Allsite to apply the required Civil 3D settings
Create the Civil 3D intersections after initialization
During project initialization, Allsite updates the Civil 3D intersection settings so that Side Road Profile Grade Rules are disabled by default for newly created intersections.
This setting persists after the first initialization, so it should remain disabled for future intersections created in the same drawing.
Why this matters
When Side Road Profile Grade Rules are enabled, Civil 3D may automatically modify side road profiles during intersection/profile updates.
This can cause:
side road profiles to change unexpectedly
curb return profiles to lose their correct vertical relationship
connected profiles to stop updating correctly
affected profiles to require their Update Mode to be reset to Dynamic
If intersections already exist
If intersections were created before the project was initialized, make sure the setting is DISABLED before running Level AI Results.
Select the intersection > right Click> Adjust Side Road Profile.
Set Apply Grade Rules: No
Summary
Initialize the project in Allsite before creating Civil 3D intersections. This ensures Side Road Profile Grade Rules are disabled for new intersections and helps prevent profile corruption when running Level AI Results.
